What are the advantages of complex modules?

For example, your product is usually slightly larger, such as 60mm × 60mm × 60mm or 100mm × 100mm × In the case of 100mm or more, if you print directly with 3D printing, for example, if you want to make 50 or even 100 pieces, the cost may be more expensive. The first problem to be solved by the replica is that if there is no prototype, that is, the master mold in the figure above, the replica process cannot be completed. Because the replica is to copy a product, we must solve the problem of a source part, which is usually called the prototype in our hand board industry. In the past, the prototype was usually made by CNC machining, but now because the development momentum of 3D printing is particularly fast, the replica is often directly made into a prototype by 3D printing, and then the problem of the prototype of the replica is solved after it is handled.

Please pay special attention to the following paragraph. The materials that can be copied by the compound mold are the following, such as ABS, POM, PP, PA, PMMA and soft glue. These materials are very commonly used, so why do I remind you to listen to the following sentence? It is similar to two words. ABS, POM, PP, PA and PMMA that can be reproduced are similar. It is different from the materials we really produce with plastic molds. It is only close to these materials with physical properties. Of course, there is no similar problem with soft glue.

What are the disadvantages of complex modules?

It can be adjusted in various colors. For example, if I want to duplicate an ABS red, yellow and green, can I? sure. However, there is a color difference between the color of red, green and yellow copied by it and the color on our international code. If you have high requirements for color, you need to spray it manually in the later stage even if it is red, yellow or green, because the color of it is far from the international code. In terms of soft glue, you can re mold 10 degrees, 15 degrees, 20 degrees, directly to 90 degrees. You can choose this problem of soft hardness.
Another disadvantage of the compound mold is that according to our previous experience, if your product is within 100mm, the tolerance of the compound mold is usually about plus or minus 0.2mm. However, if your product is too large, such as more than 100mm, such as 200m or 300mm, the tolerance may go to plus or minus 0.5mm, because the compound mold depends very much on the level of the compound mold master, It may shrink and deform, and it is usually not recommended to have more than ten molds for a set of compound molds, because the more the compound molds go to the back, the greater its shrinkage and deformation.

The third disadvantage is that the delivery time of compound die will be a little longer because there is a process of prototype die pouring out the die in its process.

Finally, let me summarize with a sentence. If your product prints more pieces each time and has no requirements for accuracy, you can consider using this complex mold method, but if your number of pieces is small when you print the same product each time! And if there are requirements for accuracy, I don't suggest you do it by means of complex mold, but still suggest you use 3D printing. 3D printing hand board has relative advantages.
